HIP 100 has passed ✅
With the passing of HIP 100, the Helium community has come together to support standardizing a single LoRaWAN frequency plan across most of Africa. The Helium Foundation and the community will work with local infrastructure and regulatory agencies to continue promoting this standard.
In the meantime, Helium Hotspots can be deployed across Africa, and use cases can be built on top of this frequency plan. This can enable more cross-border use cases and reduce the friction in adopting LoRaWAN and Helium devices in the region.
We will alert the community when EU868 is available to deploy.
