💫 About

What is this network?

CESS (Cumulus Encrypted Storage System) is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives.

How can I mine tokens?

There are four ways to mine, which are running storage nodes, running consensus nodes, becoming nominators for consensus nodes, and running cache nodes. Running storage nodes: Utilize the idle disk space and bandwidth of your device to provide storage services for the CESS storage network and earn token rewards. Running consensus nodes: Earn block rewards by maintaining the consensus of the CESS chain. Becoming nominators for consensus nodes: Share consensus node block rewards by staking CESS tokens towards consensus nodes. Running cache nodes: Earn income by sharing network bandwidth to provide data download services for users.

Any geographical restrictions?

There are no geographical restrictions, and anyone can become various nodes of the CESS network to contribute resources and earn profits without the need for entry.

How can I optimize my mining rewards?

As a storage or cache node, you can increase your earnings by using devices with larger capacity disks or higher bandwidth, ensuring faster read/write speeds. It is advisable to regularly monitor your devices and node programs to ensure their long-term stable operation.

As a consensus node, you need to run a TEE Worker (Trusted Execution Environment Worker), a trusted auditing module, to participate in the data integrity auditing work of the CESS network. You can utilize high-performance devices or multiple devices to run the TEE Worker, accumulating workload to gain more credibility points and increase the probability of your node becoming a block-producing node.

How can I use the network?

You can use the public gateway of CESS (DeOSS), DeShare data sharing tool, and DeCloud decentralized cloud storage to access or share files within the CESS network. You can set up your own DeOSS gateway or develop a dedicated DeOSS gateway using the SDK to build decentralized applications for data management. Interaction with DeOSS can also be achieved through HTTP Restful interfaces or CESS Golang/JavaScript/Rust SDK to meet various development needs.

Who governs this network?

The CESS network is collectively maintained by all participants and the CESS community. In the current stage, the development and operation of CESS are managed by the CESS Singapore Foundation, with plans for subsequent maintenance and upgrades to be handed over to the community (CESS DAO).

Funding

As of now, CESS has successfully completed a Series A funding round of $8 million.
