How can I mine tokens?

By providing resources to the Iagon network either as storage or compute (coming soon), resource providers receive 90% of the transaction fees that occur on the platform. As of the mainnet launch (Jan. 2024), these fees are paid out in ADA. However, eventually, the IAG token will be usable for on-platform payments and rewards.

Any geographical restrictions?

No, from a resource provider standpoint, there are no geographical restrictions. However, users are able to specify what location they would like their data stored to remain compliant with their regional compliance standards.

How can I optimize my mining rewards?

Nodes (resources) that maintain a high performance will be rewarded best. Performance I gauged on the following metrics

• Storage Capacity (900 GB minimum)
• Upload Speed (20 Mbps or 2.5 MB/s minimum)
• Download Speed (20 Mbps or 2.5 MB/s minimum)
• Read Speed (20 Mbps or 2.5 MB/s minimum)
• Write Speed (20 Mbps or 2.5 MB/s minimum)
• Uptime Percent (90% minimum)

How can I use the network?

In order to use Iagon as a consumer, simply visit our website and sign in using your Cardano wallet where you will be prompted to sign up for a subscription. Once subscribed you will be able to upload files to the decentralized network, host web pages and upon its release, leverage the network of cloud computing to run big data computations.

Who governs this network?

As of now, Iagon AS controls the decision-making regarding the Iagon network and its development. However, the IAG token supply is built to facilitate a DAO structure, where token holders can have influence and voting power on protocol decision making. The implementation of this DAO structure is underway and will go live at a later date.

Funding

To date, Iagon has raised $3.6m in funding. Additionally, 11.2% of the token supply has been reserved for protocol development.
