💫 About
What is Render Crypto?
The Render Network is the first decentralized GPU rendering platform. It allows artists to scale GPU rendering work on-demand to high performance GPU Nodes around the world. Through a blockchain marketplace for idle GPU compute, the network provides artists the ability to scale next-generation rendering work at fractions of the cost and at orders of magnitude increases in speed when compared to the centralized GPU cloud. The network is designed to connect users looking to perform render jobs with people who have idle GPUs to process the renders. Once they’ve registered their idle GPUs on the Render Network, these GPU owners become “Node Operators” and are able to earn RNDR Tokens by accepting jobs from users in need of rendering work, known as “Creators”.
How can I mine Render tokens?
To mine tokens on the Render Network, you need to register your idle GPUs on the network and become a "Node Operator". As a Node Operator, you can earn RNDR Tokens by accepting jobs from users in need of rendering work, known as "Creators". The Render Network receives a small percentage of the RNDR paid out in order to maintain the network and facilitate the transaction. You can follow these steps to connect your node and start mining:
- Download and install the application sent to you from The Render Network Team.
- Open and run the Render Network client.
How can I optimize my Render mining rewards?
To optimize your mining rewards on the Render Network, you can contribute your spare GPU capacity to the network and earn tokens, which you can re-use when rendering demands exceed local infrastructure and additional scale is needed. As miners successfully complete scenes on the network, they build trust needed to perform higher tier rendering tasks. The network refers to this process as Proof-of-Render where trustworthiness is built on rendering 3D scenes rather than the proof-of-work mining used by other blockchain protocols.
How can I use the Render network?
The Render Network can be used by both "Creators" who need to perform render jobs and "Node Operators" who have idle GPUs to process the renders. Creators submit rendering tasks to the network to be processed by miners. They use a web interface where they can select job and rendering output preferences. Once a work is processed, Artists confirm and pay for processed frames. Some users will both request and process rendering tasks, embodying both roles.
Who governs the Render network?
The Render Network was founded by Jules Urbach, a successful blockchain entrepreneur, as an expansion of OTOY and the OctaneRender Cloud (ORC) Network. The Render Network aims to democratize access to GPU cloud rendering, offering a powerful, scalable, and cost-efficient peer-to-peer solution.
Render Funding
In 2021, the Render Network recently raised $30 million in a funding round backed by top companies such as Multicoin, Solana, and Alameda. These funds are planned to be used to double the customer base of the Render Network and further upgrade its rendering system to provide high-quality NFT models.
