What is this network?

Tableland is a web3-native network that enables decentralized applications (dApps) to store relational data without having to make trade-offs between web2 and web3 approaches. It offers traditional relational database capabilities by leveraging the blockchain layer for access control and database instructions. In other words, data can be mutated, queried using SQL, and is composable with any other tables. This makes Tableland a suitable database for full-stack decentralized applications. It is always tied to the host chain since table creates and mutations must pass through the host. The network decomposes a traditional relational database into two primary components: an on-chain registry with EVM account-based Access Control Logic (ACL) and a network of permissionless databases running a web3-limited SQLite.

How can I mine tokens?

Tableland does not offer a token mining process as it is not a cryptocurrency network. Instead, it is a decentralized database network for web3 applications. The network uses an on-chain registry with EVM account-based Access Control Logic (ACL) and a network of permissionless databases running a web3-limited SQLite.

How can I use the network?

To use the Tableland network, a table must first be created, which is minted on-chain as an ERC721 at the Tableland registry contract. The deploying address is initially set as the table owner, and this owner gets to set the permissions for any other users that attempt to interact with the table in a mutating capacity. Developers can use Tableland to help scale, mutate, and effectively access chain-driven data across Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova, Polygon, and Filecoin. Developers can use the Tableland SDK, smart contracts, CLI, or REST API to create, write, and read web3 native data.
