What is Wayru Crypto?

Wayru is a Blockchain-based Wireless Internet Network that provides seamless and effortless WiFi connectivity worldwide. Their solution brings mid-small ISPs, entrepreneurs, individuals, and communities together to build and operate Internet networks.

A core element of the Wayru network is distributed ownership. Wayru believes that ownership of internet infrastructures should be in the hands of as many people as possible.

How can I mine Wayru tokens?

To mine tokens ($WAYRU) on the Wayru Network, you need to operate a Wayru Hotspot by either purchasing one of their routers or using your own compatible device with Wayru's proprietary firmware, WayruOS. Hotspots get rewarded for uptime and usage.

Another way to earn tokens is through the Wayru mobile app, where you can connect, share, and validate networks to earn wPoints, which can be burned for $WAYRU.

How can I optimize my Wayru mining rewards?

To optimize mining rewards, users should place their Wayru miners in high-traffic areas. The busiest locations for WiFi connections, such as restaurants, cafes, and gyms, are the most lucrative.

Wayru has a Universal Basic Income (wUBI) system with 6 Tiering Systems that determine each Hotspot's performance in an epoch. Hotspots receive results from these tiering systems, known as multipliers, in every epoch.

Multipliers from all Tiering Systems are combined to calculate a Hotspot score. All Hotspot scores are added to obtain a Network Score, and the rewards pool is divided by the total Network Score to determine the amount of $WAYRU per Hotspot Score unit.

How can I use the Wayru network?

To use the Wayru Network, users can download the Wayru mobile app to connect or validate networks and earn rewards. They can also connect directly to a Wayru miner through the captive portal. By adopting the WBA OpenRoaming protocol, Wayru Network offers secure and seamless enterprise WiFi access worldwide.

To be a hotspot operator, you will need at least a Wayru miner or a compatible off-the-shelf device, a location to set up the hotspot, an active fixed internet network, 24/7 access to electricity, and a Wayru mobile app account to activate your device on-chain.

Who governs this Wayru network?

The Wayru Network is governed by its founding members and team, which includes Charvel Chedraui (CEO and Founder), and Paula Ceballos (CMO and Co-Founder). However, a core element of the Wayru’s network is distributed ownership, which means that the ownership of the Internet infrastructures will be in the hands of willing people.
